Why are we doing this?  Aren’t there other mats?

Most other mats have the following problems:

• They are game specific playmats
• They are printed with terrain that actually camouflage game pieces and make them harder to see
• Printed mats are not suitable for all game types
• In order to accommodate said printing, they are too thin and are often papery or plasticy

In short, we want a luxuriously thick gaming mat that can come out every game night and transform your kitchen table into a gaming table.
